Final day of Foodball 2013
The 32nd annual Foodball will come to a close tonight at the Grays Harbor PUD.
Over the past week and a half, students from Aberdeen and Hoquiam have been out in the community looking to not only top the other school in the amount of non-perishable food collected, but to top their own totals as well.
Last year, the schools collected a total of just under 1 million pounds of food.
In 2011, both schools combined for over 1 million pounds donated to the Coastal Harvest Food Distribution Warehouse.
Hoquiam has won the last 3 years of the competition, and Aberdeen is looking to break that record by bringing in more food and cash to give to families locally.
The final weigh-in will be held tonight at the Grays Harbor PUD at 5 pm.
