Vandalism in Downtown Aberdeen lands transient in jail

Just after 3 am this morning, Aberdeen Police Officers discovered that someone had knocked over four garbage cans and four concrete planters downtown.

One of the planters shattered when it was knocked over. A planter in front of Amore was also broken. All the damage was done on the North side of Heron Street on either side of Broadway.

Just after 8 am, a man was seen knocking over a cement planter near Heron and I Streets. Aberdeen Officers arrested the 46 year old Aberdeen transient for Malicious Mischief 3rd degree, and on an outstanding Aberdeen Municipal Court arrest warrant and booked into the City of Aberdeen Jail.

Damage was estimated at under $750 dollars.
