Aberdeen and Hoquiam see first retail marijuana license applications

December 10, 2013

Aberdeen and Hoquiam have their first retail applications to sell marijuana within the cities. In a new report from the Washington Liquor Control Board, Pugsley’s have applied for a location in both cities. In Aberdeen, they have applied for the location that formerly held Game Freaks and Jail Sucks Bail Bonds, and in Hoquiam the location that held Hoquiam’s Liquor Store & More. The company had formerly applied to process marijuana, but that application is no longer on the official list.

Pugsley’s joins Ocean Shores Hemp and Den of Gems to make 4 locations applied for in the county. Grays Harbor is allowed 6 retail locations total; 1 in Aberdeen, 1 in Hoquiam, 1 in Ocean Shores, and 3 others in other areas.

JR’s and Budco have both applied for producer licenses in Grays Harbor, in Montesano and McCleary respectively, with Budco also applying to process.

In Pacific County, Hummockville has been added as a producer and processor for Raymond, with no new additions to their retail application list.

The Washington State Liquor Control Board will take applications for new businesses to produce, process, or sell retail marijuana until December 20th.
