Dr. Salam Hallak named as Fellow of the American College of Surgeons
Dr. Salam Hallak, at the Grays Harbor Community Hospital, was among 1,622 initiates from around the world who became Fellows of the American College of Surgeons during a ceremony at the 2013 annual Clinical Congress in Washington, DC last month.
Dr. Hallak received a doctorate degree in 2009 from Chicago Medical School and is currently practicing at Community Hospital.
By meeting the College’s membership requirements, Fellows earn the distinguished right to use the designation of “FACS” (Fellow, American College of Surgeons) after their names.
The American College of Surgeons is a scientific and educational organization of surgeons founded in 1913 to raise the standards of surgical practice and to improve the quality of care for the surgical patient. The College has more than 79,000 members and is the largest organization of surgeons in the world.
