Harbor Paper going up for auction
The first sign of action at Harbor Paper in months is the announcement that it is up for auction.
Biditup.com has updated their website to include Harbor Paper and their equipment in an auction in February.
The website lists “CLOSURE OF A COMPLETE MAJOR PAPER MILL” and includes the “COMPLETE 2 LINE PAPER MILL, FINISHING DEPARTMENT, MACHINE & FAB SHOPS”. As an added bonus, it lists the longtime business as a “GREAT DEMO & SCRAP OPPORTUNITY”
The entire property will be auctioned off “piecemeal” according to Maynard’s Industries.
Originally restarted in October of 2012, Harbor Paper cut back operation in February to adjust their management, and despite announcing a full restart in April, no sign of activity has been seen at the mill since. Water and power were cut to the facility in September.
The auction will take place on February 19th at 9am and run 24 hours. Interested parties may preview the site in February by appointment. 15% will be charged on all on-site successful bids. 18% will be charged on all successful online bids.
