Grayport is funded and can begin filming

December 19, 2013

With only days left in their Kickstarter campaign, Grayport has met their goal of $7500 and now has the funding to create the local film.

The independent film announced on Wednesday that they are now funded, and can start production. The film announced on its Facebook page, “WE DID IT WE DID IT!!!! *HAPPY DANCE HAPPY DANCE* And there was MUCH rejoicing!”

The film is a murder mystery/crime thriller set in the fictional town of Grayport, and is set to be filmed in and around Aberdeen.

Despite meeting their goal, residents can still donate to the Kickstarter campaign for extra funding until December 21st and receive storyboard panels, DVDs, or other incentives to go along with their pledge.

Another film that was shot locally was Ghost Forest, shot earlier this year in and around Copalis; they are also looking for backers. Also ending their Kickstarter campaign this weekend, as of this morning they have received less than $1000 pledged toward their goal of $25,000.

Director Aria and cast members of Grayport will be joining us this morning for Live@9.
