Bank robber arrested in Ocean Shores

January 9, 2014

A bank robbery in Ocean Shores sent one man to jail yesterday.

Wednesday afternoon, a 23 year old Ocean Shores man walked into the Bank of The Pacific and gave an employee a note demanding money or he said that he would blow up the building.

A teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and he left. As soon as he did, the teller tripped an alarm and was able to call 911 and provide a description of the suspect.

Officer Chris Iversen was responding to the robbery and saw a man that matched the description walking on Point Brown Avenue NW. Officer Iversen contacted and detained the man, who was identified by bank employees.

The 23 year old was transported to the Grays Harbor County Jail and booked for Robbery 1st Degree.
