Level 3 Registered Sex Offender moving to Aberdeen
A Level 3 Registered Sex Offender with a High Risk to Re-Offend is moving within Aberdeen.
29 year old Todd Mikel James was convicted in 2001 for Rape of a Child First Degree in Klickitat County and in 2005 for Rape of a Child Second Degree in Grays Harbor Superior Court.
The Department of Corrections reported to Aberdeen Police that James is moving into the 100 block of East First Street in Aberdeen.
According to the Aberdeen Police Department, James is not wanted at this time for any crime.
There are over 19,000 sex or kidnapping offenders currently living in Washington, approximately 400 in Grays Harbor County, and approximately 150 in Aberdeen.
These announcements are not meant to raise concern or insinuate that a larger than normal number of offenders are in this area. The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office told KXRO in May that the level of sex offenders locally is comparable to both the state and national average of offenders per 1000 residents.
KXRO shares these announcements from police as a service to residents.
