Pettit Oil has closed

January 17, 2014

In November, Pettit Oil Company, Inc filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company operated 6 locations in Western Washington, including their Hoquiam office.

According to official documents obtained by KXRO, the company owed Key Bank over $11 million and U.S. Bank over $8 million.

Calling their office, a message is read saying “Hello, thank you for calling Pettit Oil Company. We regret to inform you that after many years of service, Pettit Oil has closed its doors and is no longer in business. We appreciate your many years of loyalty as a customer. Thank you.”

In 2011, Puget Sound Business Journal ranked Pettit Oil as the 33rd largest private company in Washington, stating that they had around 200 employees.
