Aberdeen Police investigate theft between brothers

Monday afternoon, Aberdeen Police were sent to the 500 block of W. Market for the report of a man chasing another man with a knife in the alley. The man with a knife was described as wearing a cowboy hat and riding away from the area on a bicycle.

Officers saw a man matching the description along with a man sitting on a curb. The first Officer on scene alerted other officers and went to check on the man sitting on the curb.

Officers were told that the two men were related. The victim, a 27 year old Aberdeen male said that he was riding his bike when his brother, a 25 year old from Aberdeen, demanded the bike at knifepoint. The suspect allegedly took the bike and fled the area on it.

The victim did not report being injured.

The suspect is well known to local law enforcement.

The investigation is continuing.
