New Miss Grays Harbor and Miss Grays Harbor’s Outstanding Teen
On Saturday night, Miss Grays Harbor 2013 Lauren Kuhn (and former Miss Grays Harbor’s Outstanding Teen) gave up her crown after a year of service, and passed it on to another former MGHOT in Connie Morgan.
Morgan not only will wear the crown as Miss Grays Harbor 2014, but also received awards and scholarships for Talent, Top Interview, Scholastic Achievement, and the Alumni award.
Morgan was crowned as the first ever Miss Grays Harbor’s Outstanding Teen in 2007, while Kuhn was crowned in 2008 when the roles were reversed and Morgan passed her crown on.
Cora Foss was named as 1st Runner Up, followed by Chazlyn O’Bannon as 2nd Runner Up.
Other awards were given that night for former MGHOT Blythe Beebe for Living Your Platform and Four Points of the Crown, O’Bannon for Dash for Cash by raising $1220 as well as the Staff award, Reyna Sanchez for Miss Congeniality, Jess Marie Matthews for Empowered Young Woman, Foss for Rookie of the Year, and Kuinn Karaffa for Personal Growth.
On Friday night, McKenzie Brooks was crowned as Miss Grays Harbor’s Outstanding Teen 2014, accepting the crown from Erin Kuhn.
Brooks was also given scholarships for Four Points of the Crown, Lifestyle and Fitness, Scholastic Merit, and Top Interview.
1st Runner Up was named as Arianna Barre, with Karli Heikkila as 2nd Runner Up.
Heikkila was also awarded a scholarship Friday for the Spirit Award, Nora Coffelt for Rookie of the Year, Madison Davis for Miss Congeniality, Kayla Robinette for Scholastic, Alex Elledge for the Staff Award, and Barre for Living your Platform.
