Election results certified

February 26, 2014

Local election results have been certified, and all local school levies have officially passed. Oakville passed by a margin of only 4 votes, 210-206, between Grays Harbor and Lewis County.

In Elma, a bond to build a new $8 million stadium and sports facility has failed 52%-47%. That bond required a 60% majority to be approved, and would have replaced the current stadium, scheduled to be torn down this spring. Elma students will be using their aging facility unless voters approve a rebuild in another election.

11, 752 ballots in total were counted, showing a 36% voter turnout for the county.
