Guns bring Washington legislators together
About a hundred people involved with the legislature in Olympia attended the 2014 Legislative Shootout yesterday.
Washington State Legislators, staff, lobbyists and others showed up to this year’s shootout at Littlerock and the host of the event, Senator Pam Roach of the 31st district, said that part of the reason was to raise awareness of how much gun sportsmen and women contribute to the economy.
Senator Jim Hargrove of Hoquiam said that, for him, guns are a tool that should be respected and used safely.
There were competitions in trap shooting, rifles, and pistols throughout the day and teams were made up of House Republicans, House Democrats, Senate Republicans, and Senate Democrats.
