Emerson Manor residents return home today
Jerry Raines from the Housing Authority announced, after nearly a month away from their homes following a fire at the Emerson Manor, the nearly 60 displaced tenants will return home today.
Grays Harbor Transit, local foster groups for pets, Grays Harbor Public health and numerous social service agencies will participate in the homecoming efforts.
Raines said that the Housing Authority would like to thank every volunteer, all response agencies, the Red Cross, the City of Hoquiam and Mayor Jack Durney, local businesses, Anchor Bank and all county, regional and state agencies involved in this incident. The coordination and cooperation efforts were tremendous. Most of all, they’d like to thank the displaced tenants from Emerson Manor for their cooperation and understanding throughout the event.
