Officials working to connect Grays Harbor trails

March 18, 2014

Grays Harbor Public Health and Social Services have begun their process of connecting all biking and walking trails in the county, and are looking for public input to move onto the next steps.

CONNECT Grays Harbor is described as “The Bicycle Movement” with a goal to “take Grays Harbor into the future of transportation”. They say that their vision is to make bicycling, walking and public transit safe, convenient and fun within and throughout our communities promoting the healthy choice as an easy choice.

In the first steps of the process, CONNECT has scheduled community meetings on April 15th at the Health Department at the Pearsall Building in Aberdeen from 2-3 pm or 6-7 pm. At both meetings, they will help the community get started on the process to determine the main routes within each area and develop local action plans.

Prior to the meetings, they are asking residents to fill out a 19-question opinion survey on their website.
