Registered sex offender moving within Hoquiam

The Hoquiam Police Department says that a Level 3 Registered Sex Offender is moving across town.

25 year old Brett Swarthout will be moving from the 2100 block of Cherry Street across town to the 300 Block of Wheeler Avenue.

Swarthout was convicted in 2000 with Indecent Exposure and Communication with a Minor for Immoral Purposes, and in 2004 with Rape 2nd Degree. Both cases were in Grays Harbor.

He is not wanted by the police at this time.

There are over 19,000 sex or kidnapping offenders who have registered since 1990 and are currently living in Washington. Approximately 400 are registered in Grays Harbor and approximately 50 are registered within the city limits of Hoquiam.
