Tax has increased throughout Grays Harbor
You may have noticed that items you bought on Monday seemed slightly more expensive on Tuesday, you were correct. As of April 1st, the tax rate in Grays Harbor increased to fund Grays Harbor Transit.
In November, voters approved a measure to increase the sales and use tax within Grays Harbor one-tenth of one percent (.001) to fund transportation.
For the majority of the county, the tax rate is now at .085%, although Aberdeen is slightly higher at .0863% due to the Transportation Benefit District voted on by residents last year.
Businesses must collect the appropriate new sales tax for sales throughout Grays Harbor County.
