Ocean Shores now has one less alligator

An alligator in Ocean Shores has been turned over to the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Ocean Shores Police received a tip that a resident had an alligator inside their apartment in the 600 block of Ocean Shores Boulevard NW

Officers served the search warrant and discovered a four foot alligator just outside the apartment in the back seat of a 51 year old Ocean Shores resident’s vehicle. According to Sgt. Donald S. Grossi, the resident was attempting to remove the animal from the scene prior to the arrival of police.

The alligator was seized and later turned over to WDFW.

A case has been sent to the City Prosecutor’s Office for review of possible charges.
