2 men arrested stealing from shop on Monte Elma Rd.

April 11, 2014

Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 2 men this week stealing from a local shop.

A resident on the Monte Elma Road called to report two men were loading items into a U-Haul backed up to his shop. The homeowner confronted the suspects and blocked the driveway until deputies arrived.

A 33 year old Lacey man and a 37 year old Olympia man had stacked several tools up next to the door and were preparing to place them into the U-Haul.

The 33 year old claimed that a friend told him it was ok to take the items since the building was abandoned, but would not give a name of his friend.

The two men were arrested for Burglary and transported to the Grays Harbor County Jail.

A search of the U-Haul did reveal illegal narcotics. The two men will also be facing VUCSA charges.

The U-Haul was released to the Montesano outlet.
