More pontoons receiving scenic tour of Washington coast
Locally built pontoons will continue to float out of Grays Harbor this week, heading to Lake Washington for the SR 520 project.
Each pontoon leaving this week is from the third cycle built in Aberdeen.
Longitudinal pontoon P left Grays Harbor on Thursday. A tugboat will take the massive structure along the coast until handing it off near Port Angeles to complete the journey. That trip is expected to take up to five days.
If the weather holds, pontoons M and O are expected to leave as early as Sunday, April 13, arriving in Seattle later next week.
Pontoon N will travel around the Olympic Peninsula later this month.
