Aberdeen burglary interrupted by homeowner

April 25, 2014

An Aberdeen man was arrested after a homeowner caught them burglarizing their home.

Last night, Aberdeen Police Officers were called to the 100 block of East 10th after a homeowner caught a man allegedly burglarizing the home.

When the suspect fled on foot he was chased by the homeowners until they got into a white Honda and fled the area, but not before the resident got their license plate number.

Officers located the car parked about 3/4 of a mile away from the home. Aberdeen K9 Officer Timmons and Titus were brought in to track the man and the car was impounded.

Later that night, the suspect was found near West 9th and arrested for Residential Burglary and two unrelated Aberdeen Municipal Court arrest warrants for Malicious Mischief in the Third Degree. He is a 23 year old from Aberdeen.
