Family argument turns violent in Aberdeen

An Aberdeen man has been arrested after assaulting his sister.

Officers responded to the 2100 block of Cherry Street, told that a man was threatening a woman with a knife.

Officers were told that a 34 year old man and his 42 year old sister, who both live at the home, had been arguing.

At some point, the man allegedly got a knife and put it to his sister’s throat. No injuries were reported.

The suspect was arrested at the scene and booked into the Aberdeen City Jail on a charge of Assault in the First Degree.

The investigation is continuing.
