Aberdeen and Hoquiam celebrate first month of Firsts

May 1, 2014

Aberdeen and Hoquiam are celebrating 2 Firsts this week for the first time.

Tonight in Downtown Hoquiam, the Hoquiam Business Association starts their 3rd year of First Thursdays. Select businesses will be open from 5-8 pm with many featuring local artists or special events. For the first time, the event will bring an element to interact with families in StoryWalk. A passage from a children’s book will be posted in the window of participating businesses and families can follow a map to read the entire story.

In Aberdeen, tomorrow will be First Friday as the event series continues in downtown as businesses stay open until 8 pm. They will be continuing their downtown historical tour starting at 7 pm Friday, at GH Wine Sellars. This month’s tour will feature the penthouse of the Becker Building.

For more information, and a list of participating businesses, visit the Facebook events for both cities.
