Aberdeen man stabbed in the back over rent money

June 2, 2014

Saturday night, just after 8 pm, Aberdeen Officers responded to a knock on the Police Station staff door. When an officer opened the door, a man standing outside told him, “she stabbed me…”

The man had a recent cut on his back and the Aberdeen Fire Department was called to treat the 51 year old Aberdeen man.

Officers found that the man had an argument over rent money in the 200 block of East First Street with a woman he lived with. Allegedly, at one point during the argument, the man turned his back and was stabbed with a knife.

A 56 year old Aberdeen woman was arrested at the apartment for Assault in the 2nd degree and booked into the City of Aberdeen jail.

The victim was treated and released by AFD. He was not transported to GHCH.

The investigation is continuing.
