COUNTY WARNS CAMPERS, HIKERS OF POSSIBLE PARK FUGITIVE

July 1, 2011

The Grays Harbor County Sheriff is issuing a cautionary warning to park goers on the Olympic Peninsula: a convicted child rapist MAY have fled from Texas and be hiding on the Peninsula. 37-year old Steven Morrow fled Bell County, Texas in December before being sentenced to 20 years-to-life in prison for sexually assaulting a young boy. Undersheriff Rick Scott says since Morrow was originally from Elma and has family in the area, they are warning campers and hikers that he COULD be in the area. Morrow is described as a 5’7″ white male, 125 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. A warrant has been issued for his arrest and anyone with information should call 911.
