UPDATE: HIGH WIND ‘WARNING’ ISSUED

The National Weather Service has upgraded the "High Wind Watch" to a "High Wind Warning" for the coast tonight through Saturday afternoon. Winds are expected at 30 to 40 MPH with gusts possible of up to 60 MPH. With winds of this strength, there is a possible of fallen tree limbs and power outages.

* IMPACTS...TREES AND BRANCHES MAY FALL CAUSING POWER OUTAGES.
  WEST WINDS THIS STRONG ARE SOMEWHAT UNUSUAL AND MAY CAUSE DAMAGE
  IN AREAS NOT NORMALLY SEEN.

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS THAT A HAZARDOUS WIND EVENT IS IMMINENT
OR OCCURRING.
